Here’s what current Momentum members say:
"What makes Helena's coaching different is that she goes into empathy and to the pit with those of us who are lost and sits there with us and then not only gives us a hand up to get us out, but also gives us the tools so we can get out on our own in our own time and own way. She not only centers on emotional, psychological, spiritual, and relational health, but also helps with the real problem, the unknown trauma that affects many abuse victims."
During Helena’s coaching, I have learned the psychological abuse and my fight, flight, freeze or fawn reposes had disrupted my brain and body in ways that were so harmful and causing physical and emotional disruption. Her coaching leads me from the negative side to a positive approach that can actually reset my nervous system to the way God has ordained it to function. It is even helping my blood pressure to stabilize.
I have a new understanding of how living with a character disordered individual had stolen my positive character traits and how I had been left just an empty shell of who I was before my decades long marriage. Momentum’s support has set me on a journey to healing from abuse and regaining my agency. It’s hard work, but so rewarding and my hope and joy are being restored.
“I've loved Momentum and Helena's honesty, soothing voice, confidence, and amazing knowledge. I've had trouble focusing, so joining Momentum has helped me enter in more fully to the Core teachings & the tools, which I know are the backbone of the Arise program.”
Before Momentum, I was feeling so lost, discouraged and scared. In Momentum I’m able to be authentic with my small group and hearing the trials of my sisters, as well as, their victories is encouraging and supportive. Here there is no condemnation, just women willing to listen and bear one another’s burdens. The opportunity to have one on one coaching always leaves me feeling grateful for the fellowship, the friendships, and the love of my sisters.
If you’re uncertain about joining Momentum, I would encourage you to jump into the deep, muddy waters of psychological abuse recovery and find the tools you need to calm the waters and enjoy the ride. There will be rough seas, but God has given Helena the experience and knowledge to bring you to the calmer waters, if you are ready and willing to employ the tools and enjoy the supportive environment. Best of all, she always encourages you to do this at your own pace no matter how slow that may be. I have found my sisters to be so loving and accepting. Never, do I feel anxious about speaking the truth of my abuse and I know I will not be accused of slander or gossiping. That makes my journey so much easier.
